This opportunity is given only to 12 best companies. Each pre-selected company gets 30 minutes individual coaching session with jury. Coaching is done on the base of 10 minute pitch of précis business plan.

The coaches were:
Mr. Mikko-Jussi Suonenlahti: Veraventure Senior Advisor who has over 25 years of global management experience in business building, of which 15 years as a successful “hands on” venture capitalist in the US and in Europe and 10 years in operations. He holds several Board positions with venture backed businesses and has been a former board director of over 20 businesses, which of 15 have been acquired.
Mr. Steve Smith: Founder of Software City, now in its 4th year Steve brings entrepreneurs and investors together working from his base at Liverpool Vision. Steve has developed strong international links with the Nordics through a strategic relationship with VeraVenture, Finland’s state Venture Capital organisation and with the USA steering regular trade and investment missions to both geographies.
Mr. Taneli Tikka: is one of the most well-known Finnish technology serial entrepreneurs. Taneli has an experience record of more than 10 years full of entrepreneurship and developing challenging growth businesses. All together he has founded about half dozen companies, CEO'ed almost 10 of them, raised a dozen rounds of venture capital funding, and made several trade sales, exists and acquisitions.

Pitching Academy culminates on evening event where Pitching Academy Finals present their pitches audience. The winners are announced at the end of the event.
International Business Program aims to help Finnish start-ups to make it to the wider global markets. This project is funded by The European Social Fund (ESF).
