International Business Program - APPLY NOW!

International Business Program is a Finnish nation-wide program offering help to startups get off the ground and internationalise. The project consists of 3 stages: Internationalization Clinics, Internationalization Camps and Go-To-Market-package. Fill the IBP Application Form here .

First stage : IBP Internationalization Clinics
There are two rounds of Internationalizations Clinics. In each round, clinics are organized in Helsinki, Tampere, Hämeenlinna, Kouvola and Vaasa during 2009 and 2010. At Internationalization Clinics company makes a pitch and gets feedback about readiness for internationalization. IBP Clinics are free of charge. By joining our IBP Internationalisation Clinics and your company might get a new Business Lead! The Jury consist of experienced professionals such as Accelerando's Reijo Syrjäläinen and Jussi Heinilä, and Taneli Tikka, a successful serial entrepreneur and investor in digital businesses, known for the companies such as IRC, Habbo Hotel, RunToShop and Dobbler.

Second Stage: IBP Internationalization Camps
The bottlenecks in internationalization of the start-up companies are identified and know-how is developed  in IBP Internationalization Camps. Coaching includes themes like how to make a perfect pitch, choosing sales-partners, design of the exporting marketing materials, immaterial rights, exporting financial management and accounting standards or growth funding. Camps are chargeable but only with a very modest fee. The first IBP Camp will be held in Helsinki in April 2010.

Third stage : GoToMarket
The third stage of this project is targeted to companies who already have a product or a service in the market and the most of the funding in place. Selected companies are arranged with a tailored consultant services worth of 15 000 EUR . The aim is to develop practical internationalization concepts to the selected companies. This phase is executed by an entrepreneur and a coach working one week in the target-country. These packages will be given in total to 10 companies by the end of 2010.
The company applying the package must show willingness to invest in internationalization with 50 000 EUR and pay an excess of 4500 EUR. The first company which will receive GoToMarket-package worth 15.000 € will be selected among the companies applied before 20th of May. Apply now!

Steam Republic Ltd is the first company selected to IBP GoToMarket!

Steam Republic Ltd is the first company to receive International Business Program (IBP) GoToMarket-package. IBP GoToMarket contains high-class internationalisation coaching services worth 15.000 EUR funded by European Social Fund. The aim is to develop practical and tailored internationalisation concepts to the selected companies. This phase is executed by an entrepreneur and a coach working one week in the target-country.

Steam Republic is a company with roots in music business and a future in digital fan-oriented marketing in the world of entertainment. Steam Republic's first product is Mobile Backstage, a mobile fan community platform that provides individually branded social applications for artists and bands. Mobile Backstage's international pilot release is set for December 2009 in cooperation with EMI UK. The iPhone version of Mobile Backstage was recently nominated as a finalist in the App Star Awards, an international contest for unreleased iPhone applications.

IBP team congratulates Steam Republic and is excited to be part of this fruitful internationalisation process. During 2010 nine more GoToMarket-packages will be delivered and the applying is open continuously. International Business Program is offering help for digital business companies which have proved to be growth willing and estimated to have potential global competitiveness. The project is coordinated by Culminatum Innovation Oy Ltd and funded by European Social Fund.
